Product returns

After you have filled out and submitted this Return Form you will be emailed a Return Authorization Number (RA#) which MUST be written on the front of the package being returned.

Return Policy: Should you not be satisfied with your purchase from The Writer's Edge, simply return it to us (postage prepaid and insured) via UPS or Parcel Post within 7 days of receipt. Your purchase price (delivery charges not included) will be refunded. Only products that are in new, resalable condition, in their original packaging with instructions and warranty cards will be accepted. Engraved products cannot be returned or refunded. Fountain pens are not returnable. All sales of products appearing under the Hot Specials area of our website are final.

Warranty Policy: Each manufacturer has specific criteria for the warranty of their products. For example, Fisher Space Pen has an unconditional lifetime warranty on on their writing instruments and will replace them free of charge regardless of what happened; all you'll need to do is cover the postal charges. The factory's that make our instruments have been very good about honoring a warranty under normal writing conditions. Should the pen fall off the desk and no longer retract, then they would replace it with a new one. If the pen was crushed between a fork lift and steel shelving unit, then it would not be covered. Normally the factory would request that the instrument be sent back to them for inspection and most of the time a new one is returned. To find out the specific warranty on any item you've purchased from us, please send us a quick email and we will outline the factory repair or replacement policy.

Many Authentic Models products are fragile and we package them very well. In the remote instance that your shipment arrives with an item damaged, we must be notified by email within 24 hours of your packages arrival.


  • Full refund including the shipping cost if the return is a result of our error.
  • If your return is not due to our error, we will deduct the shipping costs from your refund.
  • Refund will be made in the same form of payment originally used for purchase.
  • You will receive a refund within 30 business days of our processing your return.
  • Engraved products cannot be returned or refunded. All sales are final. Engraved orders and custom engraved orders cannot be cancelled, returned or refunded. All sales are final.
  • Restocking fee of 25% of the returned item will apply if the return is no fault of ours. Original Shipping charges will not be refunded.


  • We do not charge a restocking fee.
  • Shipping is paid for by if the exchange is a result of our error. Often times we will include a free refill to compensate you for your postage.
  • If your exchange is not due to our error, a shipping charge will apply. We'll contact you for a preferred payment method.
  • You may choose to speed up the exchange process by placing a new order with the correct item and your order will be shipped immediately. In the meantime, ship the product to be exchanged back to us for processing.
  • Engraved products cannot be returned or refunded. All sales are final.
